First of all, I’d like to say thank you if you’re reading this. I think almost all writers can appreciate people taking the time to read what they have to say.
I’m starting this blog because I want a way to reach out and connect with other people. I’ve tried things like YouTube, but let’s just say that it wasn’t for me. Talking to a camera and feeling like I’m being watched? Yeah, definitely not.
I’m the kind of person who needs time to form my words.
Plus I can blog in my pajamas, curled up in bed, while binging Supernatural. Thank goodness for the Internet.
I love writing. It’s been my outlet for as long as I can remember, but I usually only write for myself. Are there any writers out there who do the same thing? It’s not that I’m afraid people will think I’m a bad writer, but some of the things I end up writing can be a little heavy or weird. I keep a journal/diary but those are my most personal thoughts that I prefer keeping to myself. Who knows, maybe I’ll end up writing about those things on here?
There’s really one person the world who I’ve told those things to, my best friend who I’ll call Wolf. They’re super understanding and have helped me through some really tough times.
For a while I kept a daily journal but it was mostly full of the most boring stuff. For example:
Today I went to school. Class was boring until the teacher woke up a student by poking him.
Riveting stuff, I know. So instead I’ll talk about the (hopefully) interesting/funny/thought provoking topics that come up in my strange mind.
And just as a sort of warning, my writing can be a bit random. One moment I could be taking about the purpose of life, the next I’ll be reminiscing about the time I broke my glasses at the carnival.
So that’s me for now.
And to stay anonymous, I’ve decided to call myself Quill on here.
Well, tis’ all for now.
Quill, signing out x
