What is a Heart?

Home is where the heart is

But what if I don’t know where my heart is?

The hollow ticking in my chest won’t point me to where it’s gone

It just serves as a reminder of what was left behind

An empty cavern

Cold and purposeless

Waiting for the missing pieces to return

While my body remains stagnant

A soulless vessel on a seemingly futile scavenger hunt

Puzzle pieces and clues scattered far and wide

Waiting to be found

To be returned their rightful place
